Cinematography Rates & Charges

What We Offer

Below are our full commercial project rates.

Lacelid Productions prides itself on providing discounted services to projects with high social or environmental values, so get in touch and we will work with you to deliver a high quality product on any budget.

  • Cinematographer/ Photographer Hourly Rate

    -        $100 p/h

    For on-site work when total working hours is less than 5 hours (including travel to/from site).

     

    Cinematographer/ Photographer Daily Rate

    -        $600 per day (up to 10 hour)

    -        $100 p/h additional hours or overtime

    Our standard rate for on-site work up to 10 hours (including travel to/from site) between 6:00am and 6:00pm. Additional hours and hours outside of working day (working at night) are billed at the hourly rate.

     

    Cinematographer/ Photographer Weekly Rate

    -        $2,200 per week (up to 6 days within a 7-day period)

    -        $100 p/h additional hours or overtime

    The weekly rate designed for bigger projects and shoots. This period is calculated from departure when travelling to the site to returning from the site and includes stand-down days. Hours outside the normal working day/ overtime (see daily rate) are billed hourly.

     

    Travel

    -        $300 per day

    Billed when job involves full-day or muti-day travel to get to the site.

     

    Solo Cinematographer & Photographer task loading

    -        $75 per day

    Additional charge when only one Lacelid Productions crew member is required to do both photography and videography on a shoot. Not applicable when two or more Lacelid Productions crew are working in parallel.

     

    Solo Diving Operations

    -        $100 per dive

    Additional charge when solo diving is requested by the client to account for the significant increased risk to Lacelid Productions crew during solo diving operations.

  • Equipment Surcharge

    -        4% of job cost, for terrestrial (no underwater work) shooting only

    -        6% of job cost, when Underwater equipment is required

    An additional surcharge applied when Lacelid Productions is required to provide camera, lighting and audio equipment for the shoot.

  • Other Charge

    -        Data storage: At cost of HDD (unless otherwise organized by client)

    -        Music Licensing: $30 per job

    -        Travel expenses to/ from site, including: fuel, accommodation, flights, etc.

    -        Permit fees

  • Editing, Post Production & Preproduction Services

    -        $40 p/h

    All post-production, editing and pre-production office work including: photo editing, video editing, colourist, script writing, script editing, research, music composition and recording, audio recording, etc.

  • Stock Footage

    Exclusive rights

    -         $240 per 3 second increment

    Client holds exclusive rights to the footage requested. Cannot be used by, or sold to, any other organisation.

    Non-exclusive rights

    -         $36 per 3 second increment

    Client can use and share the footage requested and Lacelid Productions maintains the right to share and sell footage to other organisations. However, footage cannot be sold as Exclusive or prevent the Non-Exclusive rights holder from using video later. LLP must be credited.

    Other LLP intellectual property

    -         Negotiated with client (contact us!)

    Covers photos and audio (Incl Music)
